VyNa Nails Xpress is owner-run by Tina Ng from two units on level 3 of Far East Plaza. Express when you need it, unhurried when you want it.

If you have not been to us before, this is what the appointment looks like, start to finish.
Before you come
Come with your nails as they are, old gel and all. Removal is part of the service. Bring a screenshot of anything you like, and tell us if you are pregnant, on medication or have had a reaction to acrylic or lash glue before, because it changes what we use.
In the chair
We look at your nails first and say what will actually hold at the length you want. Tools are sterilised between clients, files and buffers are single-use, and you will see them opened. Then prep, colour, cure.
Before you leave
You get cuticle oil and a spoolie for lashes, the aftercare in plain words, and a realistic date for your next visit. Nothing is charged that you did not agree to at the start.

We opened at Far East Plaza to do one thing well: nails that look clean up close and last as long as they should. That means proper prep before any colour goes on, gel removed gently rather than ripped off, and shaping that suits your hand rather than a trend.
Two units on level 3 mean a quick refresh can be seated while a full extension set or a lash appointment carries on undisturbed next door.

What to expect
Removal
Your old gel is soaked and lifted, not scraped, so the nail plate stays thick and healthy.
Shape and cuticle
Filed to your chosen shape, cuticles pushed and trimmed where needed.
Colour and cure
Base, two thin coats of colour and a top coat, each cured under the lamp for a hard, even finish.
Aftercare
Cuticle oil daily and gloves for washing up. Book your next visit at two to three weeks.
Questions
How long does a gel manicure last?
Two to three weeks for most clients. Growth at the cuticle is what you will notice first, not chipping.
Is removal really free?
Yes, when you are having a new set done with us at any level. Removal on its own is priced separately.
Can I add French tips or chrome?
Yes. Nail art is an add-on to any gel manicure. Tell us on WhatsApp when you book so we allow the time.
Do I need to book?
Appointments are recommended, especially evenings and weekends. Message us and we will confirm the next free seat.
Is a gel manicure safe while I am pregnant?
Gel polish itself is not absorbed through the nail plate, and the usual advice is that the main consideration is ventilation and the smell rather than the product. Tell us when you book and we will seat you near the shopfront where the air moves. If your doctor has advised against it, we will do a buff and a clear strengthener instead. We are a nail salon, not a medical practice, so your midwife or doctor has the final word.
My nails are thin and peeling. Should I still get gel?
Often yes, because a properly applied gel acts as a shield while the nail grows out. What damages a nail is aggressive filing and picking a set off, not the gel. We will look first and tell you if you would be better off with a strengthener for a few weeks.
What if I have had a reaction to nail products before?
Tell us before we start. Reactions are usually to uncured product touching skin rather than to the colour, so we adjust the application and keep the product off the skin. If you have a known acrylate allergy we will not apply gel.
How much does it cost, really?
The level you pick is the price you pay. Removal is included, and we tell you the cost of any art before we begin, never at the counter afterwards.

Four shapes
Almond
Tapered and soft. Lengthens the finger and suits most nail beds. Our most requested shape.
Coffin
Long with a squared tip. Strong canvas for glitter and full art, as in our cherry set.
Square
Straight edges, medium length. Practical for typing and the cleanest look for a French.
Stiletto
Sharp and dramatic. Best in a bold single colour such as electric blue.
Questions
How long does a full set take?
Allow ninety minutes to two and a half hours depending on length and finish. Infills are quicker.
When do I need an infill?
Every three weeks or so. Infills keep the set balanced and are priced below a new set.
Will extensions damage my nails?
Not when they are applied and removed properly. We never rip a set off; it is soaked and filed away.
Can I bring a reference photo?
Please do. We will tell you what length and shape will hold up on your nails before we start.
What if one breaks before my infill?
Message us. A single repair is quick and we will fit you in rather than make you wait for a full appointment. Do not glue it yourself, because the repair then has to be filed out.
Can I still type, cook and look after a baby?
Yes, at a sensible length. If you type all day or have a small child, we will steer you to a short almond or square rather than a long coffin, and it will look just as considered.
Can I take them off at home?
Please do not pull or pry a set off; that takes layers of your natural nail with it. Come in for a removal, which is quick and inexpensive, or ask us and we will talk you through a proper soak-off.

Questions
Is nail art priced per nail or per set?
Both. Accent Nails covers up to two nails per hand; Full Set Art and Signature Set cover all ten.
Can you copy a design from Instagram?
Usually, yes. Send the photo when you book and we will confirm what is possible on your nail length.
Does chrome last as long as plain gel?
Yes, when sealed under a top coat. Avoid picking at the free edge and it wears the same two to three weeks.
Will art work on short nails?
Most of it will. Fine line work, foil, chrome and a neat French all sit well on a short nail. Large hand-painted scenes and 3D detail need length, and we will say so rather than cram it in.
How much longer does art take?
Accent nails add about fifteen minutes, a full set of art about thirty to forty-five, and a signature set can add an hour. Tell us what you want when you book so the seat is held long enough and you are not rushed.
Can you match a colour to my outfit?
Bring the fabric or a photo in daylight. Screens shift colour, so a physical swatch is always closer.

The appointment
You lie back with your eyes closed for sixty to a hundred and twenty minutes. Most clients doze.
First 24 hours
Keep them dry and away from steam so the adhesive cures fully.
Infills
Every two to three weeks. Brush daily with the spoolie we give you.
Questions
Classic, hybrid or volume?
Classic is one extension per natural lash and looks like good mascara. Volume uses light fans for a fuller line. Hybrid sits in between.
Can I do nails and lashes in one visit?
Yes, and it is our most popular combination. Say so on WhatsApp and we book both seats back to back.
Will extensions harm my natural lashes?
Not when weight and length are matched to your own lashes, which is why we assess before we start. Damage comes from a set that is too heavy for the natural lash, or from rubbing and pulling at them.
Can I wear mascara and eye make-up?
You will not need mascara, and oil-based removers and waterproof formulas break the adhesive down. Micellar water on a lint-free pad is fine.
My eyes are sensitive. Can I still have them?
Tell us at the consultation. We can use a gentler adhesive and a lighter set, and if you have ever reacted to lash glue we will patch test first and book you another day.
How do I sleep with them?
On your back if you can manage it, and a silk pillowcase helps. Side sleeping is the most common reason a set looks uneven after a week.
Can I have them taken off?
Yes, and please let us do it rather than pulling. A professional removal dissolves the adhesive and leaves your own lashes intact.
